New Connection Between Hauser Kaibling and Planai
4-Mountain Ski Area - 2 New Lifts Since Winter 2025/26
At Hauser Kaibling, a 10-person gondola is replacing the former “Senderbahn,” while on the Planai, the new 8-person chairlift “Mitterhausalm I” is replacing the old Sonneckbahn. These two new lifts will greatly enhance the ski shuttle connection between Planai and Hauser Kaibling in both directions.

Since the 2024/25 winter season, the new Kaiblinggrat chairlift—Styria’s most powerful chairlift—awaits you at Hauser Kaibling! With a capacity of 3,600 people per hour, this state-of-the-art lift takes you to the Sender Plateau at an elevation of 1,870 meters in just 4.5 minutes. Enjoy heated seats, weather-protection canopies, and the utmost comfort during the ride. Shorter wait times mean more time on the slopes! A separate practice area, practice lift and conveyor lift are available for beginners. Experienced skiers can refine their technique to add even more fun and joy to their skiing experiences.
